Coin of Excellence
Why? This Coin of Excellence is an on-the-spot award given by the FWISD program director to recognize merit or outstanding achievement. Emulating the Army's function of this coin; it is given directly to Cadets, Family members and stakeholders when such a deed is witnessed or heard of, and does not require paperwork or records. It is a specially-designed non-money coin with the unit insignia and other unit-relevant symbols engraved into both sides of the coin. Nicknamed,
"The DAI's Silver Dollar."
